Happy New Year!
Reflections and Looking Ahead
Jumping into the New Year fast with some exciting public projects happening across the country, but first, we want to thank you for supporting us in our accomplishments for 2022.
Last year brought us so much joy! We've achieved a lot and could not have done it without our team of producers, curators, artists, and volunteers.
Some highlights from 2022:
We worked with many inspirational and diverse artists: We curated and commissioned 94 artists to create artworks for incredible clients, organizers, and city officials to bring more art into the world.
We beautified our home city: We facilitated over 20 community-made murals in San Francisco with over 800 volunteers in public spaces.
We brought our community together: We hosted our first-ever exhibition: The City Canvas, which was a huge success, showcasing 45 murals from our Paint the Void pandemic era, street art project from 49 artists, with over 5,000 attendees in less than one week!
We pushed boundaries with large-scale art in new spaces: We curated and produced 11 ground murals in Golden Gate Park for The Golden Mile.
We created some REALLY big murals: We commissioned 3 huge murals with Wynn Resorts in 3 different cities, including the largest public art work currently in Phoenix, AZ.
We toured Europe with one of our favorite artists and crew: We shipped Charon by Peter Hudson to 2 international destinations: London, England, and Nantes, France for thousands to see in free and public art events.
We made new and long-lasting partnerships: We curated and produced artwork for two festivals, Blink in Cincinnati and Napa Lighted Festival (happening soon)!
We elevated more interior spaces: We designed 13 amazing interiors including office spaces with Twitch and Google and restaurants and performance venues such as Cheapshot and We All Scream.
We grew our team: We hired our newest Senior Producer, Catherine Roscart!!
We branched out of the mold of traditional murals: We assisted in our first basketball court mural.
We collaborated with an international company that we’ve long-time admired: We partnered withNational Geographics for an important Earth Day Mural by Alice Lee.
We cleaned up our waste to transform trash into treasure: We worked with the Tahoe-based organization Clean Up the Lake, who collected thousands of pounds of trash for two new recycled permanent sculptures by Joel Dean Stockdill and Yustina Salnikova to be installed in 2023.
We look forward to staying in touch in 2023 and sharing new work. Mark your calendar for Napa Lighted Festival January 21 – February 19, 2023, where we will have 3 public artworks from 3 different artists: Katy Boynton, INFLATABILL, and Taylor Dean Harrison.
