Big Horn Palace was a collaboration between Joel Dean Stockdill and Shrine for Coachella 2015 in Indio, CA. The intricate piece was both beautiful and functional offering refuge from the blazing sun. BigHorn sheep are an endangered species native to the area.
Joel Dean Stockdill has been creating endangered or extinct animals out of recycled materials as part of his Wild Life series since 2015. Over 26 beasts have been created during this time. Brent Allen Spears aka Shrine is a multi-faceted artist.. The richness of his practice comes from lovingly embracing the unknown, working with items discarded by humans all over the world, and the complete dedication to his immersive process.
