TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK
by Frances Berry and Capt James Stovall
Building 180 commissioned Creative Duo Capt and Frances Berry to create a work that represents collaboration and creativity for Atlassian’s Mountainview Headquareters. They created (4) murals in one weeks time and were given creative freedom to work within a specific theme. The outcome was jawdropping. More on the artists, Capt’s work is intended to make people think deeper than what's actually there, similar to the way we look at kids and wonder what they might be thinking at times.

Everyone sees things differently which is why everything in his work is open to interpretation and he feels it's my job to allow the viewer the freedom to see whatever they want. The work can be abstract at times or more direct, the one thing that doesn't change is the math equation put on each piece which has become my signature. You can see whatever but the math is always right. You can see work at lzygenius.com and also Instagram at capt.lg and lzy.genius. Frances estimates she’s created 12,000 pieces of art in the last three years. To say that she works fast would be an understatement. She’s always been a painter at heart, but until three years ago, she pursued photography. When the iconic photo of Aylan Kurdi (the three year old Syrian boy whose body washed ashore in Turkey during the humanitarian crisis in Syria) was published, she sold all of her cameras and transitioned into digital art. In 2017, Frances did a mural in Memphis TN and and since then walls have become more and more available - she immediately did 23 interior walls for various clients in a six week span and several outdoor murals.
